3 His birth year changes on almost every record. Since he appeared in the 1885 NJ State Census on 15 May 1885, I will assume that 1883 is the most likely correct birth year. Tombs, Smith Milton (I131)

14 There is a 5 month old male child, George H. Vanness, living in the household. The 1860 Census does not specify relationships, so I've not attached him here to anyone. There is a Vanness family living next door. I need to look deeper into this. Doremus, John (I84)

15 Using the data given on the 1900 census, I have assumed that Howard passed away before the 1900 census and after the 1895 New Jersey census.

The possibility still remains that Howard was not a child of John and Jessie Vincent but it's low.

In 1900, she is listed as having given birth to 3 children with 2 still living. In 1910, 5 children with 4 still living. This fits for Howard to be her child.
Vincent, Howard (I207)
