Willa came out to house and we went to Essex Fells to see First Year given by Alumni in Essex Fells School. George took us over & brought us back.

Little Entertainment at church by girls in Beulah Miller’s class. Did not go. To bed early.

Diary of Llewellyn: December 8, 1924

Change effective – Erie delayed. Combined 5:14 & 5:20 left at 5:30. No lights to Montclair. Terrible Jams. Home at 7 o’clock. Had to change at Great Notch.

Miss S & I worked until 5 o’clock. Miss Pusch left at 3:30. Aunt Aggie & Uncle Rene to Newark with Marguerite. To movies & folks from Suffern back from Newark about 10:30.

Told about changes to be made in office. Poured all day. Clam Chowder supper. George met me on 5:42. Took in about $5 in candy.

Fair & supper at Church. We all went for supper. Mama in charge of candy. Chicken supper.

Third Lecture Course. Folks went to movie & saw America. About 130 out to lecture. Dr. Barnes on 90 years & how to live them. Bill Moore had to work – Boys went downstairs afterwards to put up tables for fair.
