Snowed & hailed in morning. Very dreary & cold day. Went to S.S. & church in morning and League at night. Folks came our from Suffern, got to the house about 7 o’clock. I went home after league to see them. Florence, Geo came & told me they were there. Barbara White came down & stayed for awhile then Geo took her & Florence home.
Went through to Newark. Bought brown heavy dress & black satin with blue flore in Holmes. Mama & I went to movies at night.
Went to bed early.
Mama & Papa went to movies. Man called up from Verona that he was going to bring lumber for floor. Aunt Aggie & Uncle Rene came out. Called folks up at the movies and they came home.
Went to bed about 9 o’clock. Geo over to Florence’s.
Election Day. Went to Suffern in afternoon had supper there. Home about 8:30. Went right to bed. George, Florence, Mama & Papa listened to returns over radio. Only Mama, Papa & I went to Suffern.
Went to bed about 9 o’clock. Very tired. M.E.W.’s had stag theater party. Geo did not go.
Went to call on Miss Ward in the afternoon. Very bad wind storm about 3 o’clock.
Willa, Miss O’Brien and I went to Miss Pusch’s for a party given by Teressa. Decorated in afternoon & wore ashes of roses dress.
Man, that Agnes Hamilton is sure becoming a hot topic here on the blog. Unfortunately for me the latest was unfolding in the middle of my road trip to Minnesota and then the Hurricane known as Sandy. Now that the dust has settled and the laundry is kinda caught up, I can really sink my teeth into this new Agnes development and it’s a doozy.
I was probably wrong in this post I made back in August. While on the road to Minnesota, I received notification of new comments on my blog. So naturally, I read them right away. Then I panicked, because I had no way of digging in right away. Note to self, just leave email alone until you get home next time.
