Very cold. To bed about 9:30. Rushed all day in office.

To bed early. Very cold all day. Started exercising.

Went to all services of church & league & S.S. Nelson’s came up in afternoon. I slept. Snowed & rained around League time. Supposed to go to Suffern but did not go. Folks went to Roseland. Uncle Dory sick.

Went to Macy’s & Gimbels looking for a hat. Finally went to Newark & got it in Holmes. Black satin. Uncle Rene & Aunt Aggie came out about 6 o’clock, they went to Roseland. Mama & I went to movies. Came to store & met us afterwards.

Mama & I went to movies. Papa went to bed. Policeman called up said store was open. Mama & I went up to lock it.

Sunday School board meeting at Mr. Winans. Very good meeting. M.E.W.’s practiced basketball. Russell walked home with me.

One of the things that’s been on my to do list for a long time is to write up a “cast of characters” post for the diary entries on this blog. There are a lot of people who pop up on a regular basis.

Uncle Rene & Papa went to see Fripo – Weinert fight at Newark Armory. Mama & Aunt Aggie went to movies. Geo, Florence, Margeurite & I took them down & then went to movies in Caldwell saw ‘After the Ball’. Went down after them again.

Armstice Day. Legal holiday in Jersey. Papa closed all day – We had to work all day. Mama & Papa went to movies. I went to bed. George to movies with Florence.

(Mills) Carpenter start to lay parquet floors. Geo to bed at 7:30. Second lecture course at church – “Theodore Roosevelt.” Wore my black sating dress. Got off at 3:30 & went out to Dawson’s & had hair waved. Beat at night, home afterwards because house was all torn up & could not bring anyone in.
