Did not stay for church. Went to Suffern at night and Geo went with us.

Diary of Llewellyn: November 29, 1923
Got up at 6 o’clock and went up to church at 6:30 to get breakfast ready. Mildred helped in morning. Mr. Riley lead about 28 out. Had grapefruit cereal, rolls, doughnuts & coffee. Mama, Papa & I went into New York on 12:03 train from Caldwell. Had butter cakes and coffee at Childs then went to see Helen of Troy, NY. Very good. Went out to Newark afterwards and had turkey dinner at Di Janne’s Home about 8:30. Geo slept till about 11:45.

Poured like mad from noon on. Willa, Miss Connolly, Miss Pusch & myself went to Chinese Lee’s for Chicken Chow Mein. Willa, Miss Connolly & Miss Pusch all went to Greenwich Village given by Athletic Association. Poured all night. Suppose to be an E. League business meeting but did not have it.
