Every weekday for the past year, I’ve woken up, cooked Grandpa breakfast, and we’ve watched the news or Today Show together. This morning I’m not doing that. It’s hitting me harder then I thought it would but I have to remember Grandpa’s favorite thing to say when he was having a hard time.
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
Mama & Papa went to see for All of Us at Brood.
George had committee meeting for dinner May 16th. Carl, Chick, Ernie, Geo on committee. I stayed in the kitchen.
Poured all day and all night. Papa met me at the station.
Went to Choral Society concert with Ruth. Very Good.
Took bath and went to bed.
Beautiful Day. Mrs. Tice sick. I had to take charge of S. school. Lead league at night. Went up to Presbyterian Church with Ruth after League. Folks out from Suffern. Mama & Papa took ride to Sound Brook in afternoon. I did not go.
Ruth & Mildred over. We played cards.
Back in March, I posted about my new Genealogy Binder. It’s been a lot of fun deciding what to put in the binder and what needed a form to keep track of the information. I’m still going to get some dividers to separate sections of the binder into what I feel I need: Website Lists, Research Tools, Records Information, and Printed Reports. I haven’t fully decided the sections yet, but those are the four I’m thinking about currently.
Beulah called up and I went down to Epworth Rally at Bloomfield. Caldwell got the (?). Had largest percentage.
Ma & Pa went to Broad with Goldsmiths to see Thank You. Geo went to M.E.W. meeting at Church. I went to bed about 9:30.
