(Mills) Carpenter start to lay parquet floors. Geo to bed at 7:30. Second lecture course at church – “Theodore Roosevelt.” Wore my black sating dress. Got off at 3:30 & went out to Dawson’s & had hair waved. Beat at night, home afterwards because house was all torn up & could not bring anyone in.

Diary of Llewellyn: November 9, 1924
Snowed & hailed in morning. Very dreary & cold day. Went to S.S. & church in morning and League at night. Folks came our from Suffern, got to the house about 7 o’clock. I went home after league to see them. Florence, Geo came & told me they were there. Barbara White came down & stayed for awhile then Geo took her & Florence home.
