Diary of Llewellyn: September 21, 1924

Took ride to Englewood, Tenafly, Cresskill, Piermont, NY and Tappan to Suffern to Tuxedo. Turned around at Tuxedo & had supper in Stratsburg at Henry L(unreadable), cost 2.50 a piece. George to Florence’s for supper.

Diary of Llewellyn: September 20, 1924

Helen married at 8 o’clock. Hattie O Melia played wedding march. Mrs. Beems sang. Jeanette Hughes bridesmaid, myself maid of honor. Al Stroehling best man. Mr. Armstrong married them. I had a (unreadable) at Dawson’s at 4:30. All white wedding.

Diary of Llewellyn: September 19, 1924

5:14 broke down at Cedar Grove. Phoned for George, he met me with Chandler. I bought long white kid gloves at Macy’s & made 5:14. Stopped at Mrs. Glazier’s and got my dress, cost $4.00.

Diary of Llewellyn: September 18, 1924

Stayed home from work to get ready for Banquet of Epworth League. Mr. Dennis from Belleville speaker. Had Pot Roast, mashed potatoes, tomato soup, corn on cob, Tomato salad, ice cream, crackers. Banquet at 6:30.

Diary of Llewellyn: September 17, 1924

Rehearsal at Helen’s for wedding. Folks, Uncle Rene, Aunt Aggie, Marguerite, John, Mrs. Kent, Mollie & granddaughter went to Seidlers. George went fishing at Cook’s Pond.

Went up to Ruth’s to try dress for wedding on and then to Sunday School Board meeting.

Roswell cam down and we wrote postals for banquet. George went to Montclair movies to see covered wagon. I went to bed at 9:45.

Went to all services at church. Took nap in afternoon. Folks went to ball game in Bloomfield. Went to Suffern at night.

Willa and I went shopping in Newark. I bought flannel blanket for Helen’s wedding present at Barnberger’s, paid $18.50. Bought black velvet hat at Hayden in Caldwell Saturday night.

Mr. Tillotson started his vacation. Willa and I met Helen and went looking for hats. Saw Secrets in Newark & stayed at Willa’s over night.
