Rained all day. Nelson’s to come up but stormy. Went to all services at church. Got home from church & Aunt Aggie & Uncle Rene & Marguerite came out about 8 o’clock.

Ernest came down after Rally Day card that I got at Book conc(?). Had to go rehearsal at Carls for play. Embroidered & listened to Radio. Mr. Tillotson started his vacation.

Geo took me down to Montclair to get my skirt I had pleated. Pa went to bed early as he felt half sick with cold. Finished skirt & then embroidered & listened to radio till 11 o’clock.

Diary of Llewellyn: September 17, 1923

Mildred & I went out to sell tickets for Lecture Courses. Went to Kirk’s and then up to Avenue & had ice cream. Pa had cold and went to bed about 7:30. Miss Sweeney away sick. We all worked to 5 o’clock. Got my watch back from jewelers. Cost $6.00 to have it fixed. Guaranteed for 1 year.
