Beautiful Day. Miss Westerman off all day. Miss Sweeney off at noon to attend graduation from Fordham of Frank. Banquet at League. Red had to treat Blues. Mr. Wright & Mr. Armstrong guests. Had Blue & White orchestra. Went down to Mildred’s for a little while after banquet.
Cloudy. George played ball at Roseland. We went over to see him. Lengthened my white satin skirt.
Mrs. Glazier, Ruth & I went to Irvington to see Mr. Gillespie. Stopped at the Henry’s and then to prayer meeting and then went over to Parsonage. Left for home about 10:30. reached home at 12 o’clock. Cloudy in afternoon.
Cloudy in afternoon. Quite cool in evening. Went down & saw Miss Driscoll head of Epworth League at Methodist Book concern. She introduced me to Miss Jennie Dean of Malaytia. Went home on 6:14. Got little books with songs in for League Banquet. Pa took me over to Beulah’s at Michell’s so I could give her books & then we went down to farm.
Beautiful Day. Children’s Day. No League service. Spent time during Sunday School helping Roswell decorate church. Plume’s out in Packard sedan in afternoon & Love’s up from Plainfield. Mr & Mrs Stoutenhugh came in after Church & we had ice cream.
Alethea Class had cake sale in Ward’s old building. Gertrude Moeser in charge. Made about $2500. I came home with a terrible headache & felt sick to my stomach. Stopped at cake sale & then went home & took settle powder & went to bed. Clear cool day.
Terrible thunder shower at 2 AM. We got up & got dressed. Pa went on to Market after it lightning very sharp. Geo covered his head in blankets. Got very cool was cool all day. Went down to Rally at Bloomfield Park ME with Mildred, Roswell & Ernest. Wild bunch there did not bother with any of them or play any of the games. We had party in office at lunch time.
Very hot. Terrible shower in Caldwell about 3 o’clock. Teamed and washed our driveway out. Thundered & lightening very heavy. Teachers Meeting at church. I went down to Mildred’s for a short time after it. Very stormy & foggy. Terrible Thunder shower came up. 2 AM of W Fri. morning.
Thunder shower came up about 7 o’clock. Rained on & off during night. Very hot day. Ma & Pa took little ride after first shower but had to come back because started to shower again.
After the recent controversy from the LA Weekly article preceding the Southern California Genealogical Society Jamboree, I’m posting these photos of my ancestors. This is the face of genealogy to me.
