I loved the mysteries too . Reading yours reminded me that I have a few more to solve in Ohio but I was so piqued by your story that I wondered myself ( and since we both are working in Brown Co., Ohio ), I found Lewis Carter’s death record where he listed his mother as ” Sina Carter “.His father as “— Carter ” . Birth Date: 01 Aug 1867 .Death date :17 Mar 1951 .So more to puzzle over. Here’s a link to it : https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-266-11810-45055-52?cc=1307272.

I hope you do not get upset at me for continuing the hunt for your Sina Carter mystery )-: Here’s another interesting link for a widowed Emma Hurdle that remarried an Elmer E. Fite in 1907 ( Sina listed as her mother, and the Dad is listed now ) :https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-267-12047-132762-22?cc=1614804.

p.s. My John Carter married a ” Cenie ” – therefore ” Cenie Carter ” and so I wondered about that ” Sina ” name & that’s why I jumped ahead to research your “Sina “. Now to get back to my Carters .

No problem Magda! Thank you for going that extra mile! I’m trying to plan a research trip to Virginia, so I didn’t spend as much time with the Carters as I should have because I wanted to get to the Virginia branches of my Taylors.

I love how these things evolve over time.
