M.E.W.’s gave party to Alethea’s and those who helped with banquet. Wented to hold it in woods by Smith’s but it rained. Held in church instead. Had dandy time. George in charge. Pa came up after he came back from farm.

Cool, Beautiful Day. Pa stood talking about Chandler car from 4 to 7 to Agent in front of house. Ordered one. Ma said we did not need a new car. Went over to Mildred’s for a while to sew.

Party at Adeline Schroeders. Also Cafeteria Supper at church with movies after. Went to supper and then came home and dressed for party. George & I went down in Taxi. Showered from 6 to 8. Terrible storm in Brooklyn. Very hot before it rained.

Clear & Hot. Sent Vivian pair of black silk stockings today for her birthday. Pa went down to farm. George, Mildred, Bessie & I went down to try Bridges Swimming. Ma went down but did not go in the water. She sat in machine.

Beautiful Day – hot. Willa & I went to Sunday School. Came home & got up in the cherry tree. Ma, Pa & Willa & D went to Ball game down at Park. Geo played with Cubs. Took ride to Suffern after supper. George went to farm for Pa.

Epworth League trip up the Hudson. Had Mildred & Ruth in office with me. Willa, Mildred, Ruth & I went together. Willa out over Sunday – about 25 went. Got home at 1 o’clock. Boat landed at 10:15. Little cloudy in morning but cleared in afternoon. Hannah Paddoch & Alfred Speer both married. Helen Tice & Adeline Schroeder announced their engagements.

Beautiful Day. Mr. Richardson died about 3 o’clock in the afternoon at Long Island College Hospital. Willa & I went down to Hearn’s at noon time. I got white linen for dress. Tried to make it myself but made it too small. Alumni, Ruth G. took Ernest. Mildred & Eleanor Terhune went together.

Clear & hot. Very hot in New York. A slight breeze at home. Went to Graduation with Ruth G., Roswell W. & Miller boys. Adeline Schroeder graduated. Cool breeze came up during night. Adeline & Ray V.D. engaged.

Clear & hot. About 104 in front of store. Average temp 95. Ma & I took ride for about 1 hr over through Livingston & Northfield. Pa had to go to farm. Very hot. Could not sleep. Pa went to Market at 1:30.
